Privacy Policy
This is a standard SaaS privacy notice for Stocky, a paid public-data terminal. It is not a law-firm opinion. It describes what the product actually does today.
Effective September 7, 2026. Operator: Boone Standley, 10105 SE Tyler Rd, Portland, OR 97086. Contact: standleyb45@gmail.com.
Who we are
Stocky is operated by Boone Standley, 10105 SE Tyler Rd, Portland, OR 97086. The website is www.stockytape.app. Privacy questions go to standleyb45@gmail.com. standleyb45@gmail.com is the address that reaches Stocky today. support@stockytape.app is reserved and will be used once DNS MX for stockytape.app is in place. Mail to that address is not delivered yet.
What Stocky is
Stocky is a subscription data terminal. It aggregates public market data for the current earnings week (implied move, Street lean, profitability, headline volume) and a live top 25 crypto book. It is not a broker, not an advisor, and not financial advice. There is no demo login and no guest bypass. The marketing homepage shows a three-name earnings preview and a small live crypto teaser. The full books stay behind an active paid Stripe subscription after Clerk sign-in.
The iOS app (bundle id app.stocky.tape) is a Capacitor shell that loads this same website. It does not add a separate account system, Apple In-App Purchase, or an advertising identifier. Clerk, Stripe Checkout, and public market-data requests work the same as in a mobile browser. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency prompt because Stocky does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Account and billing data
Clerk handles sign-in and sign-up. We receive your email address, Clerk user id, and session state so we can recognize you. Clerk sends its own authentication email (magic links, verification). Stocky does not send those messages.
Stripe handles Checkout, receipts, invoices, cards, and the customer portal. We store Stripe customer id, subscription id, plan (monthly $10 or yearly $100), status, and period dates so the terminal can unlock. We do not see or store full card numbers. Promo code STOCKY25 is entered on Stripe Checkout if you choose; we do not attach it to every session.
Paid-access rows live in Neon Postgres on the Vercel project. Hosting and logs are on Vercel.
Market data
Earnings calendar and quotes come from public market-data APIs (Finnhub when a key is configured, otherwise a public Nasdaq calendar path, plus Yahoo Finance via yahoo-finance2). Crypto quotes come from CoinGecko, with CoinPaprika as a live fallback. Those providers see our server requests, not your brokerage account. We do not sell, broker, or execute trades.
Cookies and local state
Clerk sets session cookies required to keep you signed in. Stripe sets cookies on its Checkout and portal pages. Stocky sets a first-party cookie (stocky_risk_ack) after you acknowledge that this is not financial advice. The installable app may store a local “get the app” dismiss flag in the browser. We do not run a third-party ad pixel on Stocky.
Contact form
If you use /contact and outbound email is configured, the message is sent to standleyb45@gmail.com. We keep what you typed long enough to reply. If outbound email is not configured, use the mailto link instead. We do not invent a working support@stockytape.app inbox.
We do not sell personal data
We do not sell your email, Clerk id, or Stripe identifiers. We do not share them with data brokers. Processors listed above receive only what they need to authenticate, bill, host, or fetch public market data.
Retention and your requests
We keep account and subscription records while you have an account and as long as Stripe requires billing records. You can cancel in the Stripe customer portal from Settings. Email standleyb45@gmail.com to ask for a copy or deletion of the Stocky account row. Clerk and Stripe retain their own records under their policies. We will say so if a processor — not Stocky — has to complete part of the request.
Children
Stocky is not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account for a minor.
Changes
If this notice changes in a material way, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use after that date is the new notice.
